Rozenburg Guest House

Wendy and the team made the stay so enjoyable that we’re already looking forward to coming back, especially for those breakfast treats. We stayed in a spacious, nicely decorated room that Wendy said had been renovated last year. The heated towel rails were a great extra. Breakfast was a real highlight. They bake everything in house, including Shahema’s wonderful scones and the mini apple tartlets made by General Manager Wendy. The staff were all so friendly: Admire was always ready to carry bags, Juliet brought lots of personality, Shahema’s baking was amazing, and Bonita was lively and attentive to what guests needed. Wendy also went out of her way to plan and reserve our itinerary before we arrived, with helpful suggestions ranging from coffee and a snack to a wine tour she booked for us. I stayed with my fiancé and would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was amazing, with a huge choice and eggs freshly made just the way you want them. There’s also a lovely pool. The guesthouse was spotless and beautifully put together, and its location is perfect for walking everywhere. The electric fencing also made me feel extra safe. I was really stressed after suddenly losing my Airbnb and having to find somewhere on the spot. They got me in within 10 minutes of my call, then rearranged things so I could stay another night in the same room. Everyone was kind and made me feel welcome and cared for. Thanks again to Mari, Wendi, Keagan, Admire and the rest of the team. I otherwise would have had nowhere to stay.

I appreciated the thoughtful little extras, like bottled water and toiletries, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The bed was cozy, the bathroom spotless, and the room clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Breakfast tasted great, especially the worsies ;-) Rozenburg has an ideal location for getting around the area. From the moment I arrived, the welcome was warm, and the staff were super friendly and helpful with questions or requests. Manager Wendy was especially attentive and amazing. It was a really pleasant stay, and I’d happily return soon.

We’d left our passports in the room safe and only noticed at the airport. The guest house arranged for a staff member to drive them over, which saved us from panicking. We were well looked after by the attentive team throughout our three-day stay, and breakfast in the lovely breakfast room was very good. Maria welcomed us, showed us our room, and explained the accommodation and nearby area clearly. The room was spotless, excellent, and beautifully decorated. The guest house is perfectly placed for walking to the main areas of Stellenbosch, and Maria also recommended a wine tour guide. Five stars for the hosts and accommodation.
