Mariana went out of her way to make our visit memorable. She’s a lovely hostess. The guest house has spacious, comfortable accommodation that’s tastefully furnished and very clean. Breakfast for guests is generous and delicious. It’s well placed for beautiful mountain and surrounding views, with high quality restaurants just a short walk away. I’d highly recommend a stay at Braeview Guest House.

We woke to a delicious breakfast with freshly baked bread and muffins, and we’ll certainly return to Braeside Guest House. Mariana was wonderfully caring and welcoming, even switching on the electric blankets when the weather in Swellendam was ice cold. She also offered to make a supper reservation at a local restaurant. The home is beautiful and peaceful, with a lovely garden looking out toward the mountains. Our rooms were beautifully and tastefully decorated.

We felt right at home during a fabulous stay. Marianna and Katie were kind, welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and the restaurants are within walking distance. It’s a beautiful guest house with magnificent views, a real gem in Swellendam. Thank you Marianne, we’ll definitely be back.

This is a fairly new B&B in Swellendam, owner operated with friendly staff. It has old world charm and sits in a beautiful garden, close to the CBD, historical POI, and restaurants. Can recommend it. 👍

I booked at the last minute and what a lucky find. It’s a peaceful little haven with old world furnishings, and Marianna, the owner, was happy to help with anything. If you’re going to Swellendam, stay here!
