The cottage was spotless and well equipped, and our daughter loved the farm animals and lovely lawn. The location is wonderful, and the hosts are even better. What really sets the place apart is the service: we left a few things behind, and Chantelle went out of her way to help get them to our next destination. I wish we could rate the service 100/10. We hope to come back!

The morning greetings from the donkeys, sheep and hens were such a treat. We were passing through Swellendam on a Western Cape road trip, and Dolittle cottages turned out to be a real find. The cottages are great value, and Chantelle and the team gave us the most attentive service we’ve had from hosts on all our travels in South Africa.

We only stayed one night, but it was such a lovely stop. Doless was thoughtfully equipped, with everything we needed, and the amenities felt high end. There’s also a little plunge pool shared with the unit next door. The parking felt safe and secure, and our host was so welcoming and friendly.

The kids love seeing the animals, and you get that farm feeling even though you’re in town. We’ve stayed here three times now and it’s always been a great breakaway. They have a camping cot ready for my 8 and 1 year old, and there’s loads of space for the money.

DoLittle has started to feel like our home away from home. It worked really well for our family, and would suit a couples break too. The hosts are friendly and made us feel very welcome.
