Magoebaskloof Getaway

The mountain views are breathtaking, and it was a very pleasant stay. There was an issue with the room and a few other small things, but nothing major. Brian, the Manager, was helpful at any hour and always ready to assist. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a break from the city.

On the second day the power went out, and when we called, the receptionist acted as if they didn't know what was going on. We later found out long outages were a usual thing there. The gas stove wasn't working either. They said they'd send someone to help, but nobody came. It was cold, and we couldn't even make coffee. The linen and towels didn't smell nice, and after one person showered, the water went cold. It was horrible, so we checked out a day early.

Brian was attentive and very helpful with anything we might need. The cabin was lovely, with the lake right in front and a gorgeous view. The bed and bedding were comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the living room was very cozy. We enjoyed hot baths, had a fan for the heat, and the wifi worked perfectly. We came home on Sunday feeling refreshed after a lovely weekend. It's a beautiful place, and the wedding venue is amazing too. We also loved that it's animal friendly, so we'll have to return with our two babies 😉 Thanks to the Magoebaskloof Getaway team for a great break!
