Complejo Clarita

The main issue for us was that nearly all the cabin utensils were dirty, including the trays and glasses. The rooms were fine, the pool was clean while we were there, and they handled the problems we ran into really well. The double mattress was a little worn but still usable. Prices were reasonable.

The pool was really nice, and you can walk to everything in about five minutes. We had a problem with clogged pipes that made the shower flood, and the rooms weren’t in great shape. After that, things were pretty good, though some guests played very loud music all afternoon and nobody said anything to them. An acceptable place overall.

The location is a real plus, only a few blocks from the center, and the yard is large. Inside, the apartment is comfortable, and with some care this place could be unique. But it isn’t what the online listing promises. There’s a water leak in both the kitchen and bathroom, the bidet doesn’t work, and the loose sink nearly falls over, which seems dangerous for tourists. The oven door is broken and falls off; kitchen utensils are missing, and what’s there is old. The bedroom ceiling fans don’t work, luckily it wasn’t summer. Some playground equipment is dirty or broken, and there’s no yard trash can for barbecue scraps and similar things. These details would be easy to fix.

I’m very unhappy with this place. The grounds where the cars are kept have no lights at night, and the children’s play equipment is broken. The place is only cleaned where it’s visible: under the bed there’s grime and cobwebs, and the screen is covered in mold. The oven door fell off and burned me. The owner replied, “Okay, but if you fix it, it’ll close.” The bidet is broken and leaking, the fans don’t work, and the sink is loose. The pillows are degraded foam rubber with a sheet over them. Their poor maintenance is completely unjustified. The biggest disappointment is feeling cheated. The website shows photos from when they opened, when everything looks perfect, along with reviews that are old or misleading. You arrive and feel let down. From reading the reviews, it seems they haven’t repaired things in years: the oven, pillows, fans, bidet, toilets, and more. Not recommended at all.
