Blaue Rose

The digital check-in worked perfectly and took very little effort, even though I was initially unsure about doing it without staff. This is a small, attractive hotel right in the middle of Feldkirch, and it's practical, comfortable, and clean. I did find the many emails and texts confusing. They gave a good impression of communication, but they were all in German. As a non-German speaker, I had no idea what they said and worried I might be missing something important. Fewer messages, plus an English version, would help.

I stayed in November 2024 and really enjoyed it. The guesthouse is warm, spotless, and newly renovated to a high standard. The beds were excellent and very comfortable. Getting in is easy at any time of day, using either your phone or a key card. It's right in the town centre, within walking distance of the train, shops, and more, yet my room was very quiet. The owners and hosts are around and welcoming, and happy to help. During my stay I partied in Feldkirch, and went skiing and walking nearby in Montafon. I'd stay again, and probably will.

The kitchen is fully accessible to guests, but for some reason you're not allowed to cook there. Since there's no breakfast, that's a real pity. I also overheard the owner speaking dismissively and rudely to employees twice. That's not acceptable for a hotel in this price range. The hotel itself is beautiful, in a great location, with an excellent bed and a careful renovation throughout.

There's no reception, but a hotline is available, and you can unlock the door with either a card or your phone. The location is great, close to everything. We had a small family room with a double bed and a large single bed. It was modern, clean, and comfortable, with a good bed. The hotel also provides free coffee, tea, fruit, and chocolate 🍫.
