The food was great, with simple options, excellent quality, and generous portions. The menu isn't huge, but you can just ask for more at breakfast or dinner. We stayed for a 7-night ski trip on an all-inclusive plan and made a point of getting to know the staff. It's a lovely traditional Gasthaus, and though it's a bit worn and not modern, the staff and atmosphere more than make up for it. Love this place.

We really enjoyed the evening meals. Everything was homemade and tasty, with a vegetarian option each day. The fresh produce was a highlight, from apricots and apples from their orchards to fresh mushrooms. We stayed for 7 days, and the rooms were charming, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was complete, with sweet and savory food and a wide choice of drinks. The team was welcoming and always available. We highly recommend the spot!

We weren't staying at Gasthof Hochsteg, but after a few beers at home we couldn't face cooking, so we ordered pizzas for delivery to our nearby self-catering holiday place. They were absolutely excellent and far better than we expected! The crust was fresh and light, and there were plenty of toppings without going overboard. Such a lovely surprise, and we'll be ordering again soon. Thanks, Gasthof Hochsteg. We'll sleep well tonight and come back with another order! 🍕🥰

I only ate dinner from their lavish buffet, and the selection was quite good: soup, a main, salad, dessert, and FREE soft drinks for only 18 €. The pizza was excellent, and lots of traditional Tyrol dishes were cooked decently. The staff were friendly.

The beds were broken, with large holes in the wooden frames under the mattresses. We found the staff very unfriendly throughout our stay, and they made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The hotel was dirty and disgusting, with aggressive dogs defecating inside the restaurant. Someone from another party stepped in dog poo at breakfast, and one dog bites if touched, so I especially wouldn't recommend this place for families with children. The buffet dinner made us sick on the second day. It was the only meal we all ate together, so we're pretty sure it was the hotel dinner. The food also wasn't fresh, and had even gone crusty in the buffet from being left out too long. I can't recommend this place to anyone.
