Urban Inn

Getting around was easy from here: the main train and bus station is seven minutes away, cafés and shops are nearby, and you can walk to the city center. They also let you leave luggage before check-in or after checkout. The room was spotless and had a really pleasant design, with everything needed, including a hairdryer and a small kitchen. I liked the funny notes and little details.

The location was convenient, with groceries nearby and the main tourist street just steps away. But reaching the room was awkward: parking was blocks away, and we had to pass through a crowded outdoor restaurant and dancing area, then what felt like a restaurant, to find the stairs. The top-floor room was decent and clean, with some interesting views. Windows across the alley meant there was very little privacy.

The facilities are really nice, and the hotel is close to the city center. But the service left me very disappointed. We booked through Booking.com and missed the chance to give them our private email addresses. They were apparently meant to send us an Innsbruck Welcome Card for free transport around Innsbruck. We emailed the team and also filled in the contact form through the check-in link, but heard nothing before our two-night stay ended. It makes you wonder what would happen if you had something urgent to tell the hotel. I initially wanted to recommend this place, but you should be prepared for the service to disappoint.

We stopped in Innsbruck to split up what would have been a long train ride from Vienna to Zurich. Urban Inn was clean, modern, and stylish, and exceeded what we expected. There were four adults in our family, and the apartment had plenty of space for all of us. The old town, train station, and lots of restaurants are within walking distance. We’d highly recommend it.
