Chalet Ischgl - Modern Luxury Residences

The gondola is about a 10-minute walk away, and the ride up to the top stop gave us spectacular mountain views. The town was quiet during our off-season stay, but we still had a wonderful time at Chalet Madlein. Staff were attentive and communicative both before and during the visit, and made us feel welcome. Free parking was handy too. I’d happily return in peak season to see more of the area.

The spa at the sister hotel was a lovely extra, just a five-minute walk away, with indoor and outdoor saunas, a pool with access to the bar, and lockers. We also got a discount on ski passes, which was a nice surprise. Our apartment had a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, fridge, and stove, and the elevator made getting around much easier. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. The staff were great and made sure we had what we needed, including hypoallergenic bedding for my son. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with plenty of choices like omelets and sunny-side-up eggs. A2 and A3 gondolas are within easy walking distance, and the grocery store is only steps away. We’d be glad to stay here again, highly recommend it.

Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh fruit, freshly baked bread, great coffee, and lots of yoghurts, cereals, and juices to choose from. They won't go out of their way to make eggs to your preferred style. We came as a couple for three nights in the middle of summer 2022, after fleeing one of the dirtiest Airbnbs we had ever seen, and Chalet Madlein was a very welcome backup. The hosts were warm, spoke English very well, and seemed sincerely interested in us. The bed was very comfortable and clean, and so was the bathroom. It’s also ideally placed for getting up the mountain, about a 10-minute walk to the A1 gondola in the center of Ischgl. I’d recommend it to anyone after a calm, comfortable, affordable stay. We’d love to come back.
