Hotel Persura

In response to the owner’s comment: My main reason for being dissatisfied was the extremely threatening and aggressive behaviour of the man of the house and his dog. Any laughter on the balcony stopped straight away, even though it wasn’t yet 7 PM. That made it clear to us that we won’t return.

The Wi-Fi handled email and WhatsApp but wasn’t really adequate for streaming films. We had one single room and one double, both very large by Ischgl standards, and everything was clean. It’s a medium-sized hotel with spacious rooms, reception, a hall, sauna, and ski room. The kitchen makes fresh cakes, and egg dishes are cooked fresh in the kitchen rather than served from containers.

Dinner soups were tasty, and the hotel had a great ski room. The rooms were spacious, very nice, and clean, and the location was great. We were there on an organised ski trip. At dinner, portions were very small, and some people, including children, left hungry. After a few days, people asked for extra portions; we got them, but not with a smile. Breakfast was very basic, with no variety or fresh fruit salad. Croissants appeared only once that week, and you had to arrive first to get enough choice. The staff, especially the young male boss, could be unfriendly and even rude. He always seemed in a very bad mood, and the negative atmosphere among the staff means we’ll choose another hotel next time in Ischgl.

The location is excellent and it’s good value for money. You can ski in, but not ski out. Rooms are clean and spacious, the ski room has heated boot stands, and the staff are helpful. Breakfast was poor, though, and the Wi-Fi weak. I’d still recommend it.
