We booked a room for New Years Eve as a quick lay over on a long journey, and were very satisfied. The front door was closed, but clear directions pointed us to the side entrance. The landlady was kind, and our room was big and clean. Even on such a busy night of the year, it was reasonably quiet and we slept well. Breakfast was plentiful with a good range of choices, including lots of Bio products. The juices, tea, and coffee we tried were above average quality. It felt like great value for money, and we hope to come back for a longer stay.

For this price, the stay was underwhelming. The breakfast was rather sparse, and the room was only okay for cleanliness, certainly not great. The restaurant was closed during main season, which was particularly annoying because we'd asked in our reservation about the distance between our room and the bar. They happily gave us that information but failed to mention it would be useless. There's a noisy street right next to the hotel, and despite the river being close, you can't walk alongside it. There's nothing within walking distance. I'd look elsewhere for anything beyond a single night on a road trip. If you're on a bike trip, expect to ride along a very busy street for a while to get there.

If you're visiting from elsewhere and want to see real Austrian nature, stay here. It's peaceful, the views are stunning, and the people are great. A perfect break from the city, highly recommend it.

Breakfast was really good, and the place was spotless and peaceful. It’s only a few minutes from Linz main street, easy to reach by car, with parking available.

The gasthof is right by a noisy road. The rooms were basic but clean, and the bathroom was clean too, though there was no hand soap. The beds weren’t very comfortable.
