The older man who looks after the house was extremely rude to us, and I wouldn't recommend this place to families. When we first arrived, my wife handled the formalities while I unloaded the car and the children played on the property. After I got back from shopping, he accused the kids of causing more damage in a short time than any children he'd ever seen, and said we couldn't control them. Nothing had been broken, so the accusations were unfounded. He then cordoned off part of the property for the rest of our stay. We also weren't allowed to charge our electric car from the outlet outside, supposedly for safety reasons. I found that unjustified, since modern charging adapters let you adjust the power. I've charged at houses during other stays in Austria, which is very convenient given the limited infrastructure. At the nearby Media Markt, charging is limited to 1.5 hours at up to 22 kW, and staying longer can get you in legal trouble for trespassing. The cost-cutting showed indoors too, with counted-out toilet paper rolls, dishwasher tablets and motion sensors. The downstairs bathroom light switches off too quickly, which is annoying. It's clean, so it might suit couples, but families should steer clear. There's not much to do in Pflach and you're almost always reliant on a car. Next time I'd choose the Tannenhof or stay somewhere else.

The apartment was roomy and very clean, with a terraced-house feel, and the hosts were friendly. From here you're close to lots of attractions, including the royal castles, the High Line and the Zugspitze. Mountain views all around make it a lovely place to relax, and there are plenty of options for an active holiday too. Highly recommended.

We stayed at LechSide for a few unforgettable days on our way to Croatia. The owners and their parents were warm and friendly, gave us useful ideas for things to do, and made our summer holiday off to a great start. The terrace looks out over the mountains, and the Lech River is nearby. Neuschwanstein Castle is easy to reach, and the High Line at Ehrenberg Castle is a bit of a thrill. The apartment was in excellent shape, with lovely furnishings and heavenly beds. It had practically everything we could need. We'd happily come back if we're in the area again.

The warm, welcoming hosts and beautiful mountain panorama made us feel right at home. Lechside sits right by the Lech River in a stylish apartment that looks new and was spotless. It's also a great base for day trips to the Außerfern mountains, the Lech Falls or Neuschwanstein Castle. We can highly recommend it.
