The room had a good view of Kapuziner berg and Gaisberg. It was a little noisy in the morning, but the heating could be adjusted. Breakfast was very good, with juices, espresso, muesli, sweets, nuts, eggs, and more, and it kept us full until lunch. The guest kitchen is quite small, which could be an issue in high season. I stayed in Salzburg for four nights with my children, aged six and eight, while we explored the city museums and Gaisberg. The location suited us perfectly, close to the center and the mountains.

The bed was comfortable, and having a guest kitchen and washing machine was useful. The stay was very satisfactory overall. The dorm lockers don't have locks, so bring your own.

For the price, this was a great hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised by the clean room during New Year's week. We had a small balcony, though the weather meant we couldn't enjoy it much. Staff were very nice when we had questions, and they let us store our luggage in a locked room before check-in. A small shopping center just around the corner had pretty much anything we needed or had forgotten. We hadn't realized the city tax included a guest mobility ticket, which saved us a lot on getting around. Public transport takes about 15 minutes to the center, which isn't bad.

The city center is about a 15-minute walk away. I shared a room with eight other people, and it all went smoothly. The room, bathroom, and shower were clean, and the woman at reception, a Czech girl, was really kind and explained everything. They can also lock your backpack at reception if you arrive a little early. I had a pleasant stay.

The Wi-Fi kept cutting out, and there wasn't much space to leave luggage. Most of our group of six were sweating at night even with the air conditioning turned all the way up. There were also several teenage summer groups running along the halls every night we stayed.
