The apartment was well equipped and the photos were accurate, but the heat and noise completely spoiled the stay. We came to see Macbeth, and the dream was “killed.” We paid over €3,000 for six nights, which made the experience feel even worse. They charge €65 for cleaning and still expect guests to clean before leaving. Maybe I’ll bring my own blackout curtains next time. We stayed six nights in Room 3 as a family in August. I don’t remember seeing anywhere on the website or booking platform that summer would be so miserable, though I’m sure the owner may say the conditions are “clearly stated.” The building sits at the corner of two noisy roads and gets sun all day. There’s no air conditioning, only weak fans, and even with windows shut the heat was unbearable. The living room has no blackout curtains, and the other rooms only have small ones. Opening the windows wasn’t really a solution, since hundreds of cars and loud tourists pass below, even at 2 to 4 AM. If you’re thinking of coming with family in summer, think again. A massively negative experience.
