Appartements Zirmhof

The flats are right by the bus stop, so using the ski bus is easy. We did miss having a shop, since there wasn’t one anywhere in the village, but you can order many products from the hosts, along with fresh morning bread. Our flat was roomy and practical in a beautiful setting. The interiors are a little dated, but everything was very clean and the bathroom had been renovated in a contemporary style.

The nature around Zirmhof is beautiful, and the owner was kind and spoke very good English. We were really satisfied with our stay. The apartment was clean, nice and cozy. Some might find it small, but for the two of us it was comfortable. We hope to come back and would be very happy to stay at Zirmhof again.

Zirmhof is in a superb location and is very good value. The bathroom is spacious, and the shower is great. The apartment works well for four people. Five is possible, though I think that’s a bit much. Two things could be better: the pillows are lumpy, with hardly any flat area to rest your head, and the electric cooking plate makes it really hard to control the temperature while cooking.

Vent is a lovely little village for young kids learning to ski, with buses to Sölden and Obergurgl for adults who want more challenging skiing. There are also great hiking options. The apartments feel homely and traditionally Tirolian, with newly renovated bathrooms, great views and balcony loungers for catching the sun. The ski school is in the same building, and the family has a stall full of cows that children are welcome to visit. You can order milk and butter from their cows, as well as breakfast rolls and croissants. A wonderful, friendly family.
