Aparthotel Adagio Vienna City

The room was exceptionally hot, and staff had to open the windows since guests couldn't. That meant our privacy was interrupted every day when they came in to open and close them. Apart from that, it was a great stay. The hotel is in a great city location, breakfast was great, and Susannah's service was amazing.

Clean, well-kept rooms, comfortable beds, good pillows, and plenty of towel options. We also liked the sauna, working facilities, and the flexibility of skipping daily room service on a short stay. The one small concern was the raised shower step: getting out felt awkward and potentially unsafe, especially without handles for support, so it may be difficult for anyone with mobility concerns. Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of food and drink choices. Suzanne, who looks after the breakfast area, was efficient, kind, and made sure we were enjoying the mornings. Her warmth and attention to detail really stood out. The location was convenient for public transport and a short walk from nice local restaurants, and having a washing machine and dryer on site made things easy. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend the hotel.

We spent three days at Adagio Vienna City after a lot of research, and the hotel met our needs. The reception staff were helpful, especially Ms. Elif, who gave us useful tips on nearby sights and places to eat. We'd like to thank her and everyone for a lovely three days. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the city center, with a tram passing right outside and taxis easy to call. Our room was clean and nice, with a bathtub, and rooms facing the front have lovely city and river views. The kitchen had most everyday utensils, tap water is drinkable, and there was an iron in the wardrobe. The lobby was stylish and original, and we enjoyed free coffee there by the street-facing window while watching the surroundings, even though we hadn't bought breakfast. The room was comfortable, though the big smart TV had restricted menus, so only Austrian channels were available. App use on the Android TV was disabled, so I couldn't use my Netflix account. There were no bathroom slippers either, but luckily I'd brought my own. It's a great value option with clean rooms, friendly staff, and a convenient location. We'd definitely recommend it.

We paid in full for a one-night stay booked through Booking.com, but on arrival the hotel demanded an extra €100 security deposit. They hadn't mentioned it beforehand, despite several emails about service upgrades. We said we could pay cash, but they only accepted cards. The manager was called and acted rudely and unprofessionally, leaving us with no workable option in a foreign country. We arrived at 1 p.m. and were told early check-in required a paid upgrade, even though the room was ready. The room itself wasn't properly cleaned, with visible stains on the windows and television. There was hot water and a pleasant view, but the experience was unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend the hotel, especially because of how management treated us.
