Exquisit Seapoint Apartment

The rooms were very clean, and Thomas, the owner, was very good to us and friendly. Still, I wouldn't recommend this apartment. There was no reception, and we had to share a bathroom with other people, something Booking hadn't mentioned. The man serving breakfast was VERY RUDE. The breakfast was poor, he wouldn't make us more omelette, and he hid the glasses so we couldn't have juice or coffee.

We had a very good experience, and the price is great for what's included. The room was spacious, attractive, and comfortable, while the shared bathroom was huge, lovely, and kept very clean by the Chinese lady host. We had trouble communicating with her in German or English, but managed to get by. The place is well located near the city center, and the breakfast spot was very good and barely five minutes away once we found it. Its address may be off: it took us to a bank, but the spot is on the next street. My one complaint is the service fee. We paid around €22 for three people, and since this isn't standard in every country, it should have been clearly disclosed. We only learned about it when we arrived.

The place itself was perfectly fine: good location and amenities, clean, quiet surroundings. Getting settled was the problem. On arrival, I thought the main issue would just be parking and getting the room key, but all the handling was done by Chinese people who spoke their native language fluently and knew only a few English words. The Booking.com address led to a bank, where the staff had no idea what we were looking for. After a phone call and some arguing in English and Chinese, a small, frightened Chinese woman appeared. She ran to the underground parking lot, which was a few hundred meters away, then on to the room. We made it in the end, but if you're short on time and want to see more of Vienna, I really wouldn't recommend this. It takes too much time and energy.
