Hotel Grand Ferdinand Vienna

We had a good week here in January. The cold weather was nice, and snow on the ground and rooftops looked lovely in this area. The hotel is a little quirky, as some reviews say, but nice. The lobby could be arranged better, and the reception desk is oddly tucked around a corner. The attached restaurant looked very nice and was always packed, though we never tried the food. Our room had a different, very European layout and a cool feel. The bed was comfortable, it was easy to keep the temperature where we wanted it, and the shower had great pressure and very hot water. We faced the inner courtyard, and being able to crack the windows open was a nice touch when the room got stuffy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and most spoke decent English, so communication was easy. On the 8th floor, the restaurant area had a lovely atmosphere and a great view. Breakfast is served there, with a good range of food. The pool on that floor looked great, but it was out of season. We found the location perfect for walking to cafes and restaurants and for getting around by public transport. We'd definitely stay again.

I've stayed for a couple of nights and will definitely come back. The attentive staff really stood out, particularly the people on level 8 at the restaurant and buffet breakfast, and the reception team were very helpful too. Great location, within walking distance of the main shopping area. Highly recommend it.

We were there from Friday to Monday, and the central location made it easy to walk into the Old Town and explore Vienna. Even with everything nearby, our room was surprisingly quiet at night, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was a highlight, especially on the 8th floor with its stunning city view. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and it was delicious and a lovely experience. The service was pleasant from the moment we arrived, and the staff helped with everything we needed. A fantastic weekend stay at the Grand Ferdinand in Vienna. We'd happily return.

Youseff and Clara welcomed us so warmly and looked after us throughout our few nights in Vienna. They really are wonderful assets to this pretty hotel. The rooftop bar is classy and relaxing, and its staff were professional and attentive. My partner and I will definitely come back if we travel to Vienna again. Thank you!
