The hotel itself is beautiful, with an impressive lobby, a great gym, a good spa, and a swimming pool. Breakfast was good as well, and housekeeping deserves special praise for keeping everything exceptionally clean. Still, the room we had on the fourth floor was very old and overpriced, so our overall impression was good but mixed.

The spa, pool, and yoga were highlights for us. The water beds around the pool are lovely, the yoga classes are great, and the spa facilities are generally very good. Most areas are nude, which many Brits may find uncomfortable, though I’m not sure whether that’s really an issue. The Aufguss is excellent and seems to happen every other day. I’d happily go daily, and an outdoor cold plunge would make it even better. We found the hotel terrific overall, and it feels like the team tries hard to sort out every little detail. Our rooms were clean and spacious, with a good choice of sizes and types. Reception were warm and helpful, and the ski lockers are easy to use and very relaxed. There’s a large bar with live music and a fun free cheese-and-olives setup. Steffi and Felix were wonderful, with such friendly, calm, positive energy. Several other staff were great too. One bartender, though, seemed stressed much of the time, spoke sternly to colleagues who looked upset, and was rather rude to us. The restaurant serves excellent breakfasts and dinners, with generous buffet choices alongside à la carte options. The waiting staff were great, especially Ramona, who was kind, generous, and encouraging. The gym is big and has good equipment, but there’s room to improve it. A couple of benches need repairs, the plates are scattered instead of kept on a free-standing rack, and one rack could be a Smith machine. A vertical bar holder, preacher curl bench, hammer curl bar, and EZ bar would fit easily. The cable machines are sticky and need upgrading. There seems to be a staff member working around the gym, though I’m not sure what his role is. These are suggestions to make a good gym better, not complaints about the place as a whole. The ski area is good, but the buses are chaotic and getting anywhere can turn into a scrum. I’m not sure what the answer is, but it needs one. Thanks to all the staff. We plan to come back!

We spent the summer here and were struck by how carefully everything is thought through, from the food and rooms to the little gifts and surprises. The meals were delicious, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. It’s especially considerate for babies and pregnant guests, with so much arranged to make the stay comfortable. The location is convenient, and the price feels fair for the quality. We’d gladly return, and more than once. Right from arrival, the service made an impression. You can feel the care in the details, almost as if a whole family is looking after you 💛.

The food was great, and there was good entertainment in the evenings. A fantastic hotel for families. If you're visiting the Zell am See region, I can’t see a reason to stay elsewhere.
