The Leea Darwin

The pool setup was a real plus, with two areas to choose from, including a fully shaded one. There were lots of families with little kids around, so it felt lively, with plenty of laughter and pool fun. We stayed six nights in early October as a family of three, in an eco double queen room, and thought it was great value. The facilities were clean and good quality, and Woolies across the road was really handy. Getting in and out felt secure, and we spotted green tree frogs and some lovely lizards. We’d stay again.

The warm pool was lovely, and having a cooler one as another option was nice. There was plenty of shade, and the bar staff and service were fantastic. I think the friendly, professional server was named Emily. The stay itself was great, but the early morning evacuation after someone’s room alarm went off was confusing. Staff didn’t clearly direct people during the emergency, so guests looked lost, and some even went back to their rooms. A few staff members were also hard to understand because of their accents.

The food was excellent, and Larissa in the restaurant deserves a special mention. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We also found the rooms spacious and tidy, and the hotel is conveniently close to the city centre.

My friend and I had two very relaxing days among the gardens and pool areas. We were well looked after by professional, helpful and consistently friendly staff. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and shops and the CBD are nearby. Breakfast at the Treetop Restaurant had an extensive buffet, and its varied menu included delicious meals. Service there was excellent. I’d highly recommend the Leea Darwin.
