The staff were helpful, and the aircon worked well. We had a great time: pub food, then a live band out the back of the hotel. Very happy with it.

The food was the real surprise here. Everything I tried was spot on, especially the salt n pepper, and the salad had all sorts in it. The food, prices and service beat what I’ve had at restaurants in the South West and even Perth. The Boab Inn tavern also has the coldest beer in town. It’s wet season, and there are other places to stay, but this one has a lovely-looking pool. 5 star.

The manager went out of his way to make me comfortable, and the food was amazing. The rooms were very clean and about what I expected for the price in a remote town. Some of the staff were rude, which was a shame, especially since the manager was so warm and welcoming to a wary traveller. I could easily stay again if I’m passing through on a work trip.

The kitchen is a good save, with a great range of quality food. Drinks are a different story: most beer comes from an ice bucket because the keg system is broken, and there isn’t much choice in soft drinks.

I’ve been here for a few weeks and tried a bunch of things from the menu. They’ve all been amazing, but the barramundi stands out, incredibly fresh and cooked just right. The staff are lovely and helpful, and the service is A1. The building’s older, but the rooms are clean, comfy, and all the amenities work perfectly. Must come here when visiting Derby!
