Karana Palms Self Contained Apartments

The location is great, just a quick walk over the bridge to Surfers’ main drag. Our weekend room was okay, but there was a lingering grey water smell and the WiFi signal was terrible. We had to call to get towels, and the room was only okay for cleanliness. The microwave was very dirty. The office phone wasn’t working when we tried to call, which made it difficult to get help from management.

There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants within walking distance, and Coles, shops and the beach are just two blocks away. It’s close to everything but still quiet and safe. The accommodation was excellent, check-in was friendly, parking was secure, and the pool and BBQ area were clean and nice.

The location is great, and the secure parking was a nice bonus. Our slightly worn room had what we needed, including cooking facilities. They even left a little laundry powder, handy for a stay under a week when we didn’t need to buy detergent in bulk. The only drawback was getting towels only on the first day, with no spares to swap. Still, it was a pleasant stay and easy to arrange. I’ll most likely return.

The room was lovely, with easy access and just a short distance from the pool. The pool itself is great, salt water and deep at one end. With kids, the kitchen, washing machine and dryer were especially useful, and the secure parking and door deadlock made us feel safe. We did have some WiFi trouble, probably because the concrete blocks the signal. I had data on my phone, so it wasn’t a big deal. The location near supermarkets and the Gold Coast’s main attractions made for an enjoyable stay. I’d come back.
