The rooftop pool was stunning, and the staff and management were amazing. The whole place had a warm, welcoming feel that made us feel at home right away, and the price was fantastic. We booked the family suite at The Rover, and it was beyond perfect, clean, beautifully set up and equipped with everything we could need. The cooking facilities made a huge difference. At another place we spent hours driving around looking for a working barbecue, but here we could relax, cook and enjoy time together. We honestly didn’t want to leave. The Rover is our new favourite place to stay, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thanks for such a lovely, stress-free family experience. We’ll definitely be back! 💛

The owners gave us outstanding service and greeted us so warmly. Our room was spotless and generous in size, with a kitchenette, and the shower pressure was great. There’s a pub across the road with good meals at good prices. Everything was there for a good price. I highly recommend this motel.

The room was roomy, quiet, and had everything my son and I needed. Mike, the onsite manager, was polite and helpful throughout our stay. We were in Mackay for my son's U15 state championships AFL carnival, and this motel worked out so well. I'd happily stay here again if I'm back in Mackay, and recommend it to anyone visiting.

We'd likely book here again. The rates were very competitive, and there was off-street parking for our trailer, which was handy. The facilities were clean and modern, and after a long day driving, the pool was a great temperature for a swim.
