The room’s front window could not be secured, which left me feeling unsafe, especially since I had booked for myself and my young daughter. The plastic louvres beside the door were flimsy, broken and could be pushed open because the latch didn’t lock. The screen was clipped on from the outside, with its clips on the verandah side too. I wouldn’t have been able to sleep there. I called reception and was told they lived offsite, would arrive in 20 minutes and move us to a different room. But all the rooms lacked security. It was already dark, so I left to find somewhere else to stay. Paradise Lodge has not been willing to take responsibility for the inadequate accommodation or reach a compromise on a refund.

The shower had excellent pressure, and the location was handy, with the pub an easy walk away. They were very helpful with my last-minute booking, and being pet-friendly was a big plus. I’d happily stay again!

The location was ideal, within walking distance of the shopping centre and town centre, and my neighbours were quiet while I was there. Reception was very accommodating about my golden retriever. There’s undercover parking and a decent grassy area across the driveway. The rooms and linen were really clean, and the shower pressure was good too. It’s not a five-star hotel, but I thought the price was fair for what it is. It could use some renovation, though. I’d stay again :)

The place is simple, which didn’t bother me, and my room was very clean with everything we needed, plus some cookies. It’s also close to Canelands shopping centre, restaurants, a chemist and fast food. I stayed two weeks ago and loved that they accept pets. The lady owner was a delight to talk to, and I’ll certainly come back.

We found shops within walking distance, plenty of parking, and a quiet place to stay. Our room was lovely and fit our budget. Staff were super helpful when we checked in late, and I’d happily stay again.
