We were told the cleaner couldn’t make it and Lucy was overseas, so after trying for an hour to contact Lucy, we got the linen room code. We agreed we’d change the bedding and clean the house ourselves, and get a refund for 1 night’s accommodation for the work and inconvenience. With such a large group, finding somewhere else at the last minute would have been impossible. But when it came to the refund, Lucy said we were lying and claimed the cleaner had cleaned. Even with photo proof and 5 witnesses, they still refuse to refund us. Lucy is very hard to deal with, and you can’t trust what you’ll get. When we arrived, the house hadn’t been cleaned. The beds weren’t made, there were used towels in the bathroom, and the floor was dirty.
