The location and price were good, and the place was clean enough, but some fittings were loose or coming away from the wall. Staff apparently knew and hadn’t fixed them. The website also didn’t explain that a two-bedroom apartment meant two double beds, so the kids had to share. Wi-Fi cost $9 per night, and with no reception we couldn’t leave our bags after checkout, so we used lockers at the train station. Still not bad for the price and location.

Southbank apartments are right in the middle of everything in the CBD.

The apartment was clean, and the kitchen had everything well taken care of. We were happy with our two-night stay and loved the location and the views. I’d use this accommodation again.

I haven’t stayed here, this is about trying to book with the company. I called a few times from my work phone, which uses Skype Business, but nobody answered. They did pick up when I tried my mobile. The man I spoke with couldn’t answer my questions, took my details and said he’d call back. I’m still waiting. When I rang again later, a woman said the reservations person wasn’t there, even though I’d called the reservations number. She didn’t ask what I needed, just said she’d have that person call the number showing on caller ID, then hung up. I don’t have time to chase people around just to make a booking, so I wonder what the service is like after you book. I won’t use them, even though I work for a large corporate business that expects to have more international staff staying in Melbourne, both short and long term.
