The rooms were decent and had aircon, and the staff were kind and helpful. Thanks especially to Trieu, Betty and the team for going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed 💕

It was quiet enough and close to the pub and places to eat. As an overnight stop on a business trip, it did the job. Seems suited to a solo traveller or a couple.

The room my Daughter and I had was horrible. The cutlery was dirty, there was pubic hair in the shower rail and more hair on the shower walls, and hair in the freezer. The shower door wouldn’t close, the bathroom sink leaked, the bathroom door was broken, and water pooling had left mould in the gaps. The table was very dusty and clearly hadn’t been wiped in a long time, and the carpets were extremely stained. When I raised these problems, the lodge rep said, “for a cheaper option, I can't expect perfection”. Fair enough, but there’s still an Australian standard for cleanliness. I could overlook cosmetic issues if they actually cleaned. The rep also refused to look at the photo evidence I supplied. My relative’s second room was similar; she saw 3x cockroaches and it reeked of broken plumbing. Do yourself a favour and SKIP.

We left after one night even though we’d paid for two. The room was in such poor shape that the bed was the only place I felt safe sitting, and it was awful to sleep on, old and lumpy. There was a urine smell in one corner, the only lounge chair was too filthy to use, and the desk chair was wobbly with loose screws. The shower door was coming apart and wouldn’t shut, and there was just one mug for tea or coffee. At $158 a night, we were badly ripped off. Wish I’d checked the earlier reviews before booking through booking.com.
