From a Coeliacs point of view, it was underwhelming, though I can’t speak for the average person. There wasn’t much choice. I got a nicely cooked steak and chat potatoes, but a nice salad would have helped. Some places don’t seem to understand GF, while others go out of their way. It really isn’t hard to offer a few choices besides steak.

The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great, but those chips ruined an otherwise good plate. I ordered salt & pepper squid, and both the squid and salad were great. The chips were way too salty, with chicken salt on top. Why? I just couldn’t eat them. Cut back on the salt and use normal stuff.

We went at 5pm on Thursday and it had a nice atmosphere. The drinks, including the beer, were nice and cold, and the bar staff were great. Tia was excellent.

The chicken schnitzels are hands down the best you’ll ever have: crispy, generous, and full of flavour. Every visit has been a wonderful experience. The service is warm, friendly, and welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. A real gem of a pub, highly recommended.

This is about my wonderful partner, not me. She’d been stuck at the hospital and finally got a break. The staff were absolutely amazing and their kindness gave her a little faith back. I fully recommend this establishment.
