At Bickley Brook Cottage, we loved sitting by the little creek behind the house and listening to nature. Kangaroos were waiting for us when we arrived, and kookaburras seemed at home in the backyard. We’d spot a few, they’d fly off if we came near, then return seconds later. We saw so many kinds of parrots and other birds, especially the whole flock of black cockatoos. A peaceful place for bird lovers.

There were kangaroos all around, and the rain got the little creek running so we could explore along it. We couldn’t use the BBQ in the gorgeous outdoor sitting area because of the rain, but it was still lovely. Inside, everything was spotlessly clean and well set up, even a cot, and there’s a beautiful indoor fire. Great for all ages, and only 40 minutes from home!

A lovely family cottage in a beautiful bush setting. It felt like a home away from home.
