Rialto Apartment 2

Steve even mailed an expensive water flosser back to Lano after I accidentally left it behind. Thanks! We loved Freo and its friendly people, and the location was ideal, close to everything and just 5 min from the ferry to Rotto, which was awesome too. We loved the spacious room, the balcony views, and the nice vibe. The owners, Steve and his wife, were great. We accidentally arrived a day early, and Steve found us a room for the night until we could move into the one we'd booked. We'll definitely be back!!

Steve was very helpful and made sure I knew where to go around Fremantle. The complimentary self-service laundry was a particular plus, with detergent and softener included. There are free books to read in the lobby and a nearby vending machine with snacks and drinks. The room was private and spacious. I'm not a smoker, so the no-smoking policy wasn't a problem for me. The entrance can be confusing on a first visit, especially arriving at night for self check-in. The reception isn't staffed around the clock, but someone is always reachable by phone if you have trouble with the process. They don't ask for a deposit, but they do ask for credit card details. They say the fire alarm is very sensitive, and any fire brigade callout triggered by a guest will be charged to your card.

I cancelled my stay within the free cancellation period, but despite a lot of back and forth I still haven't got my deposit back. I've even spent extra money trying to sort it out. They contacted me saying a change to their payment system meant they couldn't refund the deposit. I offered several ways they could return the money, and eventually an amount did arrive in my account. A couple of months later, I was notified that the payment had been disputed and reversed. When I got in touch again, they said they'd been hacked. The dispute has now been settled in Rialtos favor, and dealing with it cost me quite a bit. I booked almost a year ago. Very disappointed.

The suites have plenty of charm alongside modern amenities, and the location is perfect. I really enjoyed Steve's sense of humor. I'd recommend staying here and hope I get the chance to return one day.
