Strahan Beach Tourist Park

We stayed four nights in a two-bedroom cabin, and they kindly moved us to another cabin because of issues with the original. The new lounge is needed, since the one there was very uncomfortable. Wifi was non-existent in the cabin. Everything else was great: it's close to everything, with all the attractions an easy walk away.

The local knowledge was great, and the people who welcomed us were so helpful and kind. Everything was clean and tidy, and the amenities all worked well. An amazing place. I'd definitely stay again next time I'm passing through.

Our site had been taken by a camper whose own spot was also occupied. Management offered little communication and no help resolving the double booking. It felt like they would rather stay out of it, while still being paid twice for one spot.

The amenities were good, but only one washing machine was working. Our unpowered site, number 11, was far too narrow for our self-contained caravan, and the muddy, waterlogged ground showed that other guests had already gotten bogged there. Water squelched underfoot and mud came up as we walked around. Reception was closed for lunch when we went to ask for help. For what we paid, this was very disappointing. The park needs major drainage work, and some sites simply aren't big enough for a car and caravan. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
