The moment we open the front door at Chatelaine Valley Views, the calming music and soft lighting make the tension of the city disappear. It’s a warm, beautiful property, and we return often. Lorraine, the owner, is enthusiastic, gives excellent service, and clearly cares about making every stay memorable. The house has been restored in an Art Deco style, with striking posters, soft furnishings, and a magnificent fireplace with an ornate mirror. The comfortable rooms each have an appealing color scheme, and the location is so quiet that the only sound in the morning is birdsong. Views from the kitchen, dining area, and outside deck are striking. The established trees and pretty flowers in the gardens are well kept. Lorraine provides breakfast provisions, coffee capsules, tea, fluffy quality towels, robes, and slippers. After years of staying in the Blue Mountains, we honestly think this is the most private, comfortable, and superior accommodation around. Highly recommended for a future stay.

Lorraine was very welcoming and responsive, and the peaceful, natural setting made for a very pleasant, comfortable stay. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Thoroughly recommend it as the place to stay in Katoomba.

Clear skies for many days made the valley views from the living rooms and deck even more amazing on our second family stay at Chatelaine. The house was even better than the first time. Lorraine keeps caring for and tweaking this unique place, and the gardens looked great. The decor is stunning, and guests get VIP treatment and treats. This is our favorite holiday house. Can’t wait to return.

We had a Yulefest girls’ weekend at Chatelaine that we’ll never forget. The house felt warm and welcoming as soon as we walked in. Every room was beautifully decorated, mixing seasonal charm with elegant touches, and we felt pampered throughout. We curled up by the fire in the sitting room and enjoyed a hearty meal in the dining area. It was comfortable and classy at the same time. Lorraine took care of every detail and went above and beyond to make our weekend special, so we could just relax and enjoy ourselves. She clearly cares about creating lasting memories for her guests. Chatelaine is a lovely, luxurious place for a celebration or a getaway with friends. Highly recommended.

The dining room and balcony have sensational views, and sitting by the fireplace at night is a must. Lorraine even decorated the property for the festive season during the Christmas in July Yuletide celebrations Katoomba is known for in winter. From the moment we entered this warm, inviting home, we could see how much care Lorraine has put into it. Chatelaine has all the thoughtful provisions and amenities for a great girls’ getaway. Great location and a wonderfully relaxing stay.
