Leichhardt Motor Inn

We loved the disability room and will stay nowhere else when we’re in Toowoomba. My husband always checks the AC filters because we’ve been in motels where the dust nearly kills you and the filters are thick with it. At Leichhardt motel inn, the filter was so clean it looked brand new. The room smelled great, and the husband and wife were funny and relaxed. They made sure we were comfortable and even helped us with the pool since I use a wheelchair.

We needed somewhere for a quick late-night stop, close to the hospital, and this was perfect, just a three-minute drive away. Cafes and a pharmacy are across the road, too. The owners let us add another night at short notice. For a motel, it’s hard to fault: spacious, clean rooms, a modern roomy bathroom, air con in the bedrooms, ceiling fans, and an open-plan kitchen with a couch, table and work desk. The rooms are spacious, the bed is comfy, and the shampoo and conditioner were brilliant. Rates are competitive, and the customer service was friendly and excellent. We’ll stay again.

The location is decent, but there are plenty of other places along the main road. Parking was limited, so I had to leave the car on the street. The room was clean, though it had an old, musty smell. The air conditioning didn’t work in the bedroom, only in the main room, and the windows were hard to open, which restricted airflow. To clarify, we were staying with others, no windows were ever broken, and please don’t accuse me of doing anything I didn’t do. My review was about service, cleanliness and the air con. The old system needs servicing or updating.
