Šejla deserves a special mention. She’s warm, easy to talk to, and a really interesting person who made the stay feel special. The beds were comfortable, and I loved the fresh, pleasantly scented cotton bedding. Everything was clean and well cared for. I appreciated getting clear, detailed directions as soon as I booked. The hostel is up in a hilly part of the city, so walking through Sarajevo’s narrow streets took some effort, but I found it a unique, authentic experience and well worth it. Highly recommended! 🙌

I met lots of other solo travellers in the sociable common area, especially in the mornings and evenings. From the kitchen and terrace, there’s a great view, though you do have to be up on a hill, like much of Sarajevo. The hostel was super clean and organised, and the owner and staff were friendly and helpful with tips on food and sights. There was plenty of information about walking tours and museums, too. Kucha was a big part of what made me enjoy Sarajevo so much. I’m definitely coming back!

I came to a hostel hoping to meet people as well as find somewhere to sleep, and hostel Kucha was perfect for that. The rooms are big, the beds comfortable, the bathrooms clean, and the kitchen very well equipped. The owner Sheila is one of the kindest people I met in Sarajevo. She’s helpful, gets things sorted, and makes the best banana cake in town. Thanks for making my days in Sarajevo so good!

Sheila’s kindness made me feel at home, and she also makes delicious banana bread. Hostel Kucha was one of my favorite places to stay while visiting a city. The view is amazing, and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. Thanks a lot!

Sejla, the owner, was so welcoming and ready to help with everything. I felt at home at Hostel Kucha, where I met so many great people. It’s definitely one of the best places to stay in Sarajevo. And thank you again for the Bosanski coffee, Sejla.
