Boutique b&b Raphaëlles

The rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated, and breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared and made with lovely local products. We enjoyed Bruges and the B&B is beautiful, but the service was so unpleasant that I’d suggest staying elsewhere if friendly customer service matters to you. Questions were met with frowns or replies like “as I already told you...”, which felt strange given the price. The room had basic amenities, but no hair conditioner. Tea and even water cost extra, at very high prices, with a small bottle of water costing more than 10 euros. Luggage could be stored, but not collected between 12 and 13. We’d just got married, and left paper waste from our wedding gifts, including a shoe box, wrapping paper and an old book. We had to take it back because staff would have to “walk to the container for it.” There wasn’t any extra kindness or even a remark about our honeymoon, either.

The location is very central, and it’s a five-minute walk to the center of witches. I stayed for a day and really liked the room. It was spacious, cozy and comfortable. The hosts were friendly, explained everything in detail and offered recommendations. People like them make the experience better, and I found that really pleasant. I highly recommend it.

The walled garden is a peaceful place to sit, and the owners prepare a delightful breakfast carefully for each guest. This lovely B and B is in a house restored to a high standard. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and comfortable, with sumptuous bedding. It’s ideally placed, only a five-minute walk from the town centre. One thing to know: the stairs are narrow and steep, so they’re not ideal for anyone with mobility issues or for carrying a large suitcase up and down.

The rooms are beautiful and well cared for, but I was let down by the customer service. The hosts came across as cold, unfriendly and not very understanding. It’s a shame for a place in the hospitality business, because the BnB has a lot of potential, but the service left much to be desired.
