The stairs are a bit of a workout, but the place made a great home base and was close to so many places. The owners were very quick to respond.

The location is handy for walking to shops, food, and sights, and the locals we met were friendly and polite. We also ate at The Diligence across the street two nights in a row. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff were all amazing, and the prices were reasonable. The unit itself was tiny, with hardly any room to move or store a suitcase. The fridge worked but was so small it only held a couple of little items, and there’s just a microwave, so cooking isn’t an option. The “Dedicated Work Area” was a little room with two chairs and no table. The bed was comfortable, but it sits on a raised wooden platform that creaks with every step. Getting to the toilet meant waking whoever else was in bed. Noise was the biggest problem. Cars going past sounded like a jet taking off inside the unit, and people entering or leaving made a racket with slamming doors and creaking floors. We could hear every footstep and the neighbors through the thin walls. It was loud all night. The room also stayed cold. We set the thermostat to 22°c, but the heater never came on. The shower setup was awful. The tub is very high to climb into, with nothing to hold on to. Its short glass partition doesn’t cover the tub, and the shower head points out toward the bathroom, so water ended up everywhere. The floor at the shower-head end of the tub felt soft and spongy, like it might give way. Whoever designed and installed it should be arrested. The owners messaged us that previous guests had recommended the Beer and Waffles activity. It’s actually downstairs, through a door from the unit’s hallway into the Waffle & Beer shop. I suspect the owners may get something for referring renters. We skipped it because even the discounted price was over €60. The visit to Brugge was great, but we won’t stay in this unit again. I’d highly recommend Brugge, but I’d look elsewhere for somewhere to stay.

The apartment was spotless, and the hosts were fantastic and really helpful. It’s right in the centre but still quiet, and had everything we could want. Loved it.

A really convenient spot, close to downtown, the river, and pubs and restaurants, while still tucked away and quiet when you’re winding down in the evening. The space was clean and tidy, with just the amenities you need for a quick stay in Bruges. It even smells great with the waffle shop right next door. The hosts were communicative and accommodating. I’d highly recommend it for a visit to Bruges!
