The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, which made a group dinner for 13 feel easy. Razvan and Vali deserve a special mention for helping us understand the menu in English and Romanian, since we don't speak the local language. They were incredibly kind. The restaurant also carefully checked every dish for my child's allergies so she could eat safely, which meant a lot to us. We ate here two nights in a row, and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere was great for dinner. Everything we tried was delicious: steaks cooked just right, fish, and lava cake. They brought hot bread with tasty appetizers on the house, and the varied menu and drinks were impressive too. Even with all the choices in central Bruges, this place is well worth a visit. Call ahead and book, since it's clearly a favorite. Thanks to the whole team for a lovely experience.

We waited nearly two hours for our food. After an hour and a half, we politely asked whether something was wrong with the order and got a dismissive "it is busy," with no apology or explanation. Nobody checked on us during the meal, and the empty cocktail glasses took forever to clear. When the food finally came, it was a letdown. The meat was tough and chewy, the fish sauce unpleasantly sour, and the vegetables were drenched in so much soy sauce they were practically inedible. This was one of my worst dining experiences in a long time. The service was appalling and the food didn't make up for it. I won't return or recommend it.

The scenery is beautiful, and it's close to both a lovely little village and the sea. Our room was clean and nice, though you could hear some noise from people in the hallways. It's an old building, but generally a quiet place. The staff were super friendly and professional. I tried my best to speak Dutch, and they made me feel comfortable even when I struggled. The food was amazing, among the best steaks you can have, and it puts other steak places to shame. Highly recommend for a weekend and for the restaurant. Thanks, Ter Doest family, for making me feel like a king for the weekend!

We came two evenings in a row, and the food was spectacular, to say the least. The steak, fish, and location all get 10+. Razvan, Vali, and everyone else were more than polite. They made us feel at home, like part of the family. I can only say thank you! 💙💛❤️
