Boutique Hotel Sablon by CW Hotel Collection

We had a lovely view of the tower from our window, and the hotel was close to the centre but still very quiet. The shower was spacious with plenty of hot water, and there were lots of toiletries that smelled wonderful. Most of all, the bed was unbelievably comfortable. I have chronic pain, and for the first time in months I slept through the entire night! The staff were wonderful, friendly and great with children, and breakfast had an out of this world amount of choice. We’ll 100% be back!

Our Friday night booking through the hotel website was 130 euros. We stayed in room 21, which was great, and I especially loved how comfortable the bed was. The location was very convenient, breakfast was good, and the front desk staff were friendly. The room did get a bit hot, so we opened the window slightly, but there was some noise from time to time during the night.

We ended up canceling and booking another hotel because we couldn’t be sure we’d get the room we had booked. We were told, “We cannot guarantee you certain room, you will know which room you will have the day you arrive”. I used to work as a receptionist, and I find that absolutely ridiculous. Whatever system they use, they should be able to assign a specific room to provide good service. It felt like guests weren’t a priority, so we chose somewhere that could confirm we’d get the room we booked.

It’s easy to walk here from the train station, and the central location made it a handy place to take a break between sightseeing. The hotel was lovely, very quiet, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We could hear neighbors mumbling sometimes, but it was easy to sleep through. The beds were comfortable, though my room had no closet or any way to hang clothes. Breakfast felt overpriced, with plenty of more reasonably priced options around town.
