Hotel Navarra Brugge

We felt very welcome and comfortable here, and the staff were friendly from the start. Our room at the rear had a city view and was comfortable, with no noise from outside or other rooms. Rooms facing the front may hear more from the street and nearby bars and restaurants. Hotel Navarra is a handy base for exploring Brugge, only a few minutes’ walk from Markt. There’s on-site parking, plus a public car park about 100m away if the hotel’s is full. The facilities include an indoor pool and fitness room with a sauna, and the hotel has a good feel to it.

We had a great stay and will definitely come back. The location, facilities, and staff were all fantastic. Frankie at the Jazz bar especially deserves credit. You can tell he’s doing exactly what he loves and really enjoys his work. Having a pool and sauna was a big plus, particularly in winter. A couple of small things kept it from being five stars for me. At a hotel with a pool and sauna, I don’t think robes should cost €10/day to rent. Brugges is a place people visit for a few days, often with just a small bag, and bringing a robe and slippers along isn’t ideal, especially in winter. Also, I couldn’t use streaming services like Netflix or YouTube in the room. Maybe I’m wrong, but it seemed those features had been disabled on the TV. I hope those details get addressed before our next visit. Thanks so much.

We’ve learned during this visit that the owner sold out to a corporate hotel company, so I hope Navarra keeps its identity, individuality, and ethos. It’s our go-to when we visit Bruges, with excellent facilities and long-standing staff who are helpful. A wonderful hotel.

Breakfast had a great range of hot and cold food, and we also enjoyed the basement pool and sauna. The toaster did trap a few slices of toast at the back a couple of times, but that was only a small issue. We had a lovely stay at Hotel Navarra. The location was excellent, and our room wasn’t huge but had plenty of space. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated, and having air-conditioning was a pleasure. The staff were lovely and attentive. We’d definitely stay again in Bruges.
