I started questioning how clean the room was when I found palm marks all over the windows and long hair in the bathroom, even though I’m bald. I understand people might have had some fun, but shouldn’t the room be cleaned for the next guest? I expected more from a four-star hotel.

A decent, no-frills hotel. It’s a little outside the city center, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, though nothing special. Breakfast was good, with a fairly standard selection. There aren’t many extras.

From the moment you arrive until checkout, Hotel Velotel makes you feel like its most valued guest. Great management and fantastic staff. For me, Hotel Velotel really means hospitality, with a capital H. I keep coming back.

There was lots of free parking, and getting into the town center was easy. All the staff were really friendly. The rooms weren’t anything special, but they were good enough for my stay in Bruges.

It’s outside the old city center, but very easy to reach by bike from the train station, about a 15-minute ride, with part of the route alongside a gorgeous canal and park. It has everything bike tourists need, including secure parking and e-bike charging. I recommend it and will stay here again.
