Latroupe Hotel Le Berger.

We came just to freshen up and sleep during a packed vacation, and it was good value for the money. The reception guys were kind, sweet and helpful. They gave us all the information and made the changes we needed to get one room, since we'd booked separately for two days. We could hear footsteps from the room above and some luggage being dragged outside, but it wasn't loud. The passage was small and dark, with a small lift and stairs. With the creaks and gusts of air in the passage, it felt like an ancient haunted hotel, lol. The room was called Antoinette, after the empress killed during the French Revolution, lol.

I stayed here on 22/04/26 and was hugely disappointed. The room looked nothing like the website pictures, and the hotel was down a dodgy alley where a man was urinating outside. My room had no external window as shown online, just a hatch facing a shaft or wall. The handle was so loose it was nearly falling off, which made me feel uneasy traveling alone. The decor was creepy as hell, like a 70s horror film. The TV seemed to be there for display, since I couldn't get any channels, and the walls were so thin I could hear everything going on. A terrible experience. They should update the website and photos so people know what they're getting into.

!!!BED BUGS!!! I woke at 5h30 covered in countless red bites, then got out of bed and saw several bed bugs. I took pictures. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. I told the hotel right away, but since leaving I've had my calls and emails ignored. I wasn't reimbursed for the night or compensated for the things I had to throw away or clean. Don't stay there, especially with kids or for a business trip. I had to sit through meetings with giant red spots on my forehead.

The room has a charming vintage feel, and the place was clean and well located. Reception staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.
