Hotel Le Plaza Brussels

The accessible room worked really well for my parents, and my sister and I were in the room next door. We were traveling by Eurostar with my parents, both 89, along with a walker and an electric wheelchair. Everyone at the hotel, as well as on Eurostar, was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was downstairs, but staff showed us the back route to the lift, so that was fine. There was plenty to eat and it suited different tastes, including my sister's gluten-free, no onion or garlic needs. There isn't a restaurant, though the bar and its staff were great. Room service has a limited but good menu, which we didn't try. Lots of restaurants are within walking distance, and Uber worked well for us. Good value, and we'd recommend it.

The breakfast buffet was good and the room was large, with lovely decor. The front desk staff were helpful too. One issue came up on our final night: a table lamp and the charging facility weren't working. Also, getting to the underground breakfast floor meant walking downstairs. It would help if there were a lift.

The only thing I'd add to breakfast is perhaps some smoked salmon, if I'm being fussy. Otherwise I have nothing bad to say. We got a great price through Booking.com, and for my wife's birthday they left a card on the bed, a small, lovely touch. The service, bed, room, location and breakfast were all great.

The staff were warm and accommodating when we arrived, and breakfast had a good choice of things to eat. The decor is beautiful and classic, and I felt comfortable and relaxed as soon as I walked in. It's a two-minute walk from the metro and right by the City2 shopping area, with plenty of sights along the way to the Grand Place. I'd recommend booking breakfast.
