Smart appart - Midi

We booked two nights, but after finding quite a few bed bugs on every bed the first night, none of us would touch them again. We stayed up all night in the dining room, left first thing in the morning, and threw out the clothes that had touched the beds. We had to spend extra money on somewhere else for the second night. The neighbourhood was dirty and scary too. This was the worst experience ever. Stay away from this place. It should be closed down.

We paid 517,14€ for a place that felt dangerous, then also had to cover our broken car window and the cost of booking somewhere else. We arrived with four small children and found people who seemed drugged at the door, and they wouldn't let us in. Police came and arrested people. We eventually got the children out safely, then called booking.com and the owner 20 times for help. Neither helped. The owner didn't answer, and on the night of the 14th we were left out on the street with the children. The morning of the 15th, while we were just trying to walk around and find something to eat, a robber broke our car window. Police came to take a report, and we never went back. There was mold on the bathroom wall too. After hours of calls, booking.com didn't find us a safe place or refund us so we could book another one. The owner was a total fraud. He emailed me, but ignored booking.com's calls and emails. Booking.com should take responsibility for these awful accommodations instead of sitting back until someone gets killed. Police came twice in less than 24 hours. That's a hell of a remark. Good job!

At first the place seemed okay, apart from being incredibly hot with no AC. Then we found loads of bedbugs, several on each bed, crawling around. It was disgusting. It was already too late to leave that night, so we stayed up instead of trying to sleep. The street was so loud, with people arguing and yelling and other scary sounds we couldn't make out. We left very early the next morning and couldn't stand to stay another minute.

The towels and bed linen were clean, and the kitchen had utensils, though they were dirty and needed washing before use. The apartment is about a 20-minute walk from the city centre and the location is generally convenient. Those are the few positives. The neighbourhood felt awful and dangerous, especially for women. Addicts and unstable people were shouting, harassing others, and acting aggressively. A karaoke bar or club right beside the apartment regularly brought fights, yelling, and chaos. Walking back, especially in the evening, felt frightening, like something bad could happen at any moment. Inside, the apartment was in very poor shape. There was no soap, shower gel, or promised hairdryer. The coffee machine didn't work, the shower hose was broken and sprayed water everywhere, and door handles fell off. The sofa backrest kept falling down, and the sofas were dirty and stained, uncomfortable even to sit on. The walls were filthy, and the place felt abandoned and oppressive. The listing photos were completely misleading. If safety, comfort, and basic cleanliness matter to you, stay far away. The experience was frightening and extremely unpleasant.
