The metro entrance is right near the front door, about a minute away, and Charle kindly kept our bags after checkout so we could enjoy our city tour. I stayed at The mila Hotel in January 2026, and it was a great experience. Charle was lovely, took good care of us, and we had a nice chat over a cup of tea he offered. Breakfast was delicious and had what we needed to start the day. Our room was spacious, spotless, and really lovely, with a panoramic view from the window. I loved the decor. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in brussel. Have a nice stay, everyone!

Being right in the city center made it easy to walk to many major sights, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was decent, too. But the room facilities didn’t look like the photos online, which was disappointing, and getting to the rooms was inconvenient. There was just one tiny elevator, so we often took the stairs.

Our boutique room was great, the location was fab, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the problem. The buffet was a shambles, with too little of almost everything, so guests turned into reluctant locusts whenever something was replenished one item at a time. I lost count of how often I heard people ask for more scrambled egg, bread, butter, cheese, hot water, ham, cutlery, plates, cups, and so on. The staff were lovely and brought things when asked, but we shouldn’t have to keep asking. If they put out twice as much, everyone would be happy.

I was shocked by this hotel. At check-in we found signs of bed bugs. I also saw other reviews on hotels.com reporting the same issue. We told the “receptionist”, the person downstairs with a laptop who had checked us in, and asked for a refund so we could stay somewhere else. After a call to the manager, they agreed to refund 50%. I left my number and was told it would be sorted the next morning. It never arrived. I messaged through hotels.com and emailed the hotel directly, but got no reply. I found a number online, sent a WhatsApp message, and tried calling. After I asked for a call back, they eventually got in touch, though they’d ignored all my earlier messages. They again said they needed to check with the manager. Then I was told the accountant was on holiday and the refund couldn’t be handled right away. I fell for that. Three months later, despite chasing regularly, I still haven’t been refunded, and I feel the property has lied to me repeatedly. The room also looked much nicer in the pictures than it was, and in reality was basic and makeshift. I’d avoid the place because of the bed bugs and what seems like shady, duplicitous business practice.

The included breakfast was nice, and they were fine with us eating before checking in later that day. When a national strike changed our plans and we couldn’t stay the second night, they let us move the booking to later in the week when we returned. The service was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the location was convenient.
