Cosy at Home

Great.

We had breakfast as a group of four, but the quality was disappointing. The butter on the buffet was past its date, and the fruit basket had fruit that wasn't fresh. The bread was from Panos, the yogurt was a budget Aldi brand, and the cold cuts looked like cheap supermarket fare. The rolls and pastries seemed to have been reheated and tasted bland and dry. The older woman serving us wasn't especially friendly either. I understand businesses need to keep costs down, but the quality shouldn't suffer like this. It's a shame, given how charming the place looks from outside.

The buffet was hard to navigate because it was set high up, and reaching things like eggs or a roll was awkward. When we went to get food, the eggs, rolls, cheese, and drinks had run out, and it took ages for them to refill everything. The fruit basket even had moldy fruit. The meat selection was salami, ham, and veal sausage, all clearly the cheapest options. They call it a "luxury breakfast," but apparently that just means an extra glass of cava. We ate with flies all around us. We'd reserved ahead and wanted a calm, cozy breakfast, but there was just one table left when we arrived. The waitress stressed that it was their last one, as if we shouldn't sit there, then firmly told us to be patient because she was on her own. We understood, but she kept telling everyone the same thing. Whenever we asked for something, she said, "Just a minute, be patient, in 5 minutes, I'll help you right away..." She seemed so stressed and confused that the atmosphere became uncomfortable. I can't recommend this place.

We had a lovely breakfast here this morning through Social Deals. The buffet was beautifully laid out, and everything was top-notch. The rolls and pastries were really fresh, and they even had English breakfast with bacon, eggs, and beans in tomato sauce. The welcome was super friendly, our drinks came promptly, and they explained how the walking buffet worked. Definitely worth doing again. Thank you!
