Antim Boutique Apartments

The loft is wonderfully quiet and full of daylight, with windows all around and a treehouse feel. The bed and sofa were very comfortable, the kitchen was usable, and we liked the decor so much we took photos to copy at home. There’s air conditioning, too, and I’d happily live here. Bring an eye mask if light bothers you, though, since the curtains don’t block it well. The location was great for us: the metro is a five-minute walk away, the #20 and 22 trams stop right outside, and the city center is about 15 minutes on foot. There’s a farmers market, a corner shop, and home goods stores within roughly 50 meters. A few things could make this a poor fit, and they’re clearly stated in the listing: it’s a three-floor walk-up, it isn’t wheelchair accessible or child friendly, and the shower in the middle of the bathroom might feel odd if you’re American. I had to stretch to come up with a third issue.

The apartment was clean and pleasant, but the location and price didn’t work for me. It’s nearly a 20-minute walk from the good spots, despite being advertised as very central, and the apartments are small for what they cost. I didn’t think it was good at all.

I stayed in two of the owner’s places. The apartment was very good, and the house was just perfect. Both were close enough to the city center, and the owner was polite and made sure I was having a good stay.

The upkeep is clearly well handled, and getting around is easy from here. The subway station is right next door, the city center is within walking distance, and the mall is only about 200 meters away. A great central place.
