Peter Pan Hostel

Good afternoon. We want to complain about several things. The photos and the apartment didn't match, especially the patio, which was in deplorable condition. The room we got wasn't the one we requested, and both the paintwork and the room itself were different from what was shown. In fact, the rooms looked nothing like the photos. There was no toilet paper for the whole stay apart from the first day, when one roll was provided for everyone, which was far too little. We tested the radiators for a long time, but they didn't work. The bathroom flooded whenever we showered, even though we were careful, and the broken hose leaked from both sides. There was no shower gel, although it was listed as available, and the hairdryer was nowhere in the room, so we don't know if he knew about that. The tenant also treated us poorly. We had two keys, but neither indicated that we were supposed to have only one.

The room was spotless and really cozy. Self check-in went smoothly, and communication on WhatsApp was easy too. I had to move my arrival date about five times, and they accommodated every change without a problem, even though I'd booked a non-refundable rate. For the price, I can only recommend it.

I’ve never felt so humiliated while traveling. We were left outside in the cold at 7 a.m. with our bags, and nobody offered help. We had asked if we could do the self check-in just to drop them off, but they refused. The email and the information at the door were both unclear. The door said to call if we needed anything, but when I called, they answered only after half an hour and said check-in was at 2 p.m. and they wouldn’t help before then. The service was rude and the tone was awful. In all my years of staying in hostels, this has never happened to me. Other places have always let us leave our bags, sometimes for an extra fee, instead of leaving us outside, loaded down and cold. I can’t recommend this accommodation at all. There are closer, cheaper, much nicer places that took our bags and even got a room ready early so we could rest, despite a 2 p.m. check-in. DON'T BOOK HERE, TERRIBLE SERVICE.

We booked this guest house because my girlfriend liked the room colors in the pictures. It was my first time staying in a guest house, and I was really impressed by how clean it was and how spacious our double room felt. The bed was comfortable, there was a nice sofa and a rocking chair, and they left us water and a snack for free. The cable TV had over 100 channels. Peter Pan is about a 20-minute walk from the city center. If you’re willing to wander down the little back streets on the way, you’ll find some nice coffee shops and places to eat. The area is okay. Honestly, I preferred it to staying at the Sofia Balkan Hotel. Great job, guys!
