Amfibia Beach Fregata

The pools were large and looked good, though the water wasn't perfectly clean. They were open from 10:00 am to 10:30 pm. Breakfast tasted nice, but the coffee and juice were instant. When we checked out, the man at reception made a couple of attempts and put in a lot of effort to find us a taxi, which was hard to get. My biggest concern was how disorganized everything seemed. I booked and paid in advance on the hotel's website, then called to confirm the payment, and they said it had arrived. But at check-in, reception didn't know about it, so I had to wait. A few days later, accounting called me in the middle of my vacation because they thought there was a problem with that same payment. They eventually sorted it out without needing anything else from me. The room's electricity only worked if the card was positioned very carefully, otherwise it could cut out at random. We told reception, but nothing was done. The air conditioner leaked water into the room if it ran for more than 15 minutes. One morning at breakfast, I heard a staff member swear at other guests while the other person stayed polite. There was just one free power socket in the room, behind the bed. It's not a terrible hotel, but I can't recommend it.

We've stayed at the palace three times, and it's always been very good. Lately, though, the food has become repetitive, with less variety, and the coffee cups are now tiny, like thimbles. Quite a few staff don't understand English either. Not sure we'll come back.

We couldn't stay beyond the first day. The kids were upset, so we found alternative accommodation for the same price, and everything there was spot on. At Amfibia beach complex, we felt unwelcome, and the room was terrible. The high balcony felt very unsafe, especially with children, the air conditioning didn't work properly and leaked onto my son's bed, and the bathroom was awful. The stairs were slippery too, just waiting for a bad accident. Cleanliness was shocking and there was no customer service. Don't bother with this place. It's awful and the advertising is false.

This is my third summer coming here. It still has some of Sunny Beach's old atmosphere and charm. The location is great for the price, and it's a little quieter than the center of Sunny Beach, which is like Las Vegas. At night, you can hear Bedroom Beach, though. All the rooms have a sea panorama view. If you want luxury, go somewhere else. Pay more and you'll get more.
