Checkout was the worst part. They said they didn't take cards and demanded payment in bolivianos at a sharply inflated exchange rate, making the room suddenly cost 60% more. After arguing it through, we paid the Booking.com price at the official exchange rate, but left with a bad feeling. The room itself was neglected, with cobwebs on the ceiling, a tap that kept leaking, and a toilet that barely flushed. The supposed eco-friendly feel came across as neglect. Breakfast also fell short of what the online photos suggested, at least in low season. Whatever this place may once have been, it now feels run down and misleading, and isn't worth the hassle. Copacabana surely has better, more honest places to stay.

The garden is full of flowers and the lake views are amazing. It's a great place for families, and feels quieter and more relaxed than the hotels in Copacabana, though it's about 500 meters away.

Breakfast was amazing and the ecolodge itself is really beautiful, though it's outside Copacabana. We left our bags there for two nights, but when we came back we found they'd given our room to someone else. Because of that, we didn't stay the extra night. That really wasn't cool :(

It's in a lovely, quiet area, and the rooms were okay. We did have a lot of ants in ours, which wasn't nice, and both the shower and breakfast were well below what we expected.

We liked the feel of the room, but for the price we expected it to be much cleaner. There were hairs and ants. At night, the 20-minute walk to Copacabana is in the dark, so expect to take a taxi. The Booking description lists a kitchen, dishwasher and hairdryer, but you have to pay extra for those. The value for money is low, so I wouldn't recommend it. The male host wasn't very friendly and seemed focused on making money. He insisted the inaccurate listing was correct. On the second day the wifi stopped working. He first said it was fine, but when I asked him to check on his phone, he saw it wasn't working either. He blamed the wind and said the wifi was bad at night, asking us to wait 30 minutes and try again. It was still down the next morning.
