After walking around Isla del Sol, we thought this was easily the best place to stay. The gardens are stunning and a lovely place to relax, and the rooms are little huts with huge beds, bathrooms, and big windows facing the lake. The sunset view is amazing. Breakfast was included: scrambled eggs, nice bread, fruit salad, tea, and coffee. It’s a 10-minute walk from the main village, so there’s less light pollution and the stars at night are amazing. Like the other reviewers, I thought the place was beautiful. We came by coach from La Paz to Copacabana, then took a ferry. It’s a bit of a hike, but worth it, as with most things in S. America.

The sunset view is breathtaking. This is such a lovely place to stay on Isla del Sol: the beautiful lodges have been designed with ecology in mind, and each has a private bathroom, a great hot shower, solar panels, and a flower garden. Vanesa and her father Valentin really pamper you and cook some of the best local dishes.

A beautiful place to stay on Isla del Sol. The houses are large and comfortable, with an awful view of the lake. I’d recommend this as the best stay on the island.
